App Tip: How To Delete Your Search History on Twitter for iPhone, iPad (iOS)
If you've tapped the 'Discover' button in the Twitter app and searched
for something before, you've probably noticed that Twitter keeps track
of your search history on the iOS app and there isn't any clear search
history button anywhere in the app or iOS settings.
This
seems like a flaw in the iOS app, I don't know why they simply don't
add a button to clear search history. But anyway, if you're wondering
how to clear your Twitter search history from the app, there is a simple
solution.
I'm going to assume you're running iOS 6 (the current version of iOS).
If you are not, you should probably upgrade, I don't know why you
wouldn't want to?
At the moment, the only way to remove your search history on the Twitter app is to:
- Go to the iOS 'Settings' app.
- Find 'Twitter'.
-
Delete your Twitter account from your device. If you have multiple
accounts, delete the ones you want the search history removed from.
- You can then re-login to your account.
That
it. Your Twitter search history will be cleared. You don't need to
remove the app itself, unless you're running iOS 4 or below.
*UPDATE: With a new Twitter update, this problem has been resolved. See more details
here.
